On Sunday I posted a blog mentioning that Matt Barnes might sign with the Magic. Today we have learned that both parties agreed “in principle” that Barnes will be going to
Assuming Pietrus will start, the bench now consists of Gortat, Johnson, Bass, Redick and Barnes. Any NBA fan around the League has to agree that
Anyway, this might sound I’m jumping on the bandwagon, but that’s not the case; I’m just impressed by what some teams are doing this off-season, in these tough economic times and still finding ways to improve is something we should admire. It will keep the fans interested in the NBA that will be very competitive in the ’09-’10 season. And when it comes to the Magic, will be a lot of fun to watch.

I agree. The Orlando Magic is very aggressive on finding more talents to make their team. But I do suggest them to be careful. History says that a lot of teams who were aggressive on acquiring talents mostly have failed on meeting the expectations. I'm sure everyone has high expectations for the Magic this coming season
True, true. We all remember Portland with Pippen, Stoudemire, Wallace, Smith etc.
I shouldn't have written that they would also sign C.J. Watson, since it has turned out that there simply isn't any money left.
It's better to be aggressive in improving your team than to sit back and wait. They've given themselves a better chance to win with better players. I think it was a great idea.
Graham, I agree. I think the teams who are spending now, could be a lot better off than the teams who are holding out 'til next year. Teams like the Knicks, Bucks, or my beloved Nets might not have such a great summer in 2010, the talent could be gone, or the money simply isn't there. Even Miami might face some problems because they Wade who's not sure what's his next move, and an organization who hasn't done much to improve this summer....
